David’s love for creating narratives and directing performance led him to creating and directing short films in 2017. His debut, ‘A Modest Defeat’, picked up awards around the world and received Official Selection at two Academy Award qualifiers. It has been watched by over six million people on YouTube – two million during its first month online.

He initially joined the film industry through post-production at the BBC, then moved into directing for MTV and eventually found his way into directing for branded projects. He has collaborated with leading agencies such as Ogilvy, AKQA, Mother, Saatchi & Saatchi and Mullenlowe. His clientele includes American Express, BBC, Coca-Cola, Nike, The Guardian and Virgin.
